Background
The
ICT Support Team is made up of
staff from the former desktop IT service providers (MIS, SERS, and DSDS) from the above
departments. We are also members of the ECE Development Team, a part of the
ECE (Enhanced Computing Environment) Programme, with a remit to
provide and support a computing environment within which our customers can access IT
services in a consistent and effective manner. Our overall objectives are as follows.
- to be responsive to the core needs and priorities of the departments served as
expressed by common agreement.
- to provide a reliable and cost-effective ICT infrastructure to staff members
of each of the departments served
- to contribute to the delivery of cost-effective ICT services by each department
to their respective users
- to provide a common and consistent computing environment which can be enhanced
in line with University strategic direction and in response to expanding technical
capability and user demand
During the development of the ECE Programme, we are committed to maintaining support
services to each of the three departments in line with existing service standards
already in place. Your point of contact and service standards will at this stage be
dependent on the area you work in.
