projects: core user directory - terms of reference and membership
The Core User Directory Project Working Party
- Specify use cases for a number of enterprise-wide processes (e.g. student information, email, finance).
- Appraise existing Identity Management activities within the collegiate University.
- Specify the requirements for an Identity Management core directory.
- To document and get agreement on the optimum set of attributes within the core directory by collaborating with parts of the collegiate University which own identity attributes (finance, HR, students, University card, Herald, WebAuth, library, etc.).
- To conduct a risk analysis and find the minimum set of attributes required.
- Define the standards (e.g. schema, messaging protocols) and programmatic interfaces, which are needed to ensure integrity of attributes held within the directory.
- Define processes and the application programming interfaces for reading, creating, updating, deleting and other services connected with importing data into, and exporting data from, the core directory.
- Oversee the creation of a core directory meeting the specified requirements.
